Alfred Ziethlow (1911-2003), studied first in Dortmund, at the Folkwangschule in Essen and the Bremen Kunsthochschule before moving to Düsseldorf in 1936 and becoming a master student of Heinrich Nauen. Still life with flowers and vases, oil on hardboard, signed and dated (19)47 on the lower right, inscribed Münster on the verso, 70 x 54 cm, framed 84 x 68 cm.
