Label Artist: ROBERT MOTHERWELL (1915-1991)
An American painter, Robert Motherwell turned to abstract expressionism in the 1940s and exhibited with Rothko and Pollock. A perfect illustration of Mortherwell’s painting, his work for the 1974 Mouton Rothschild label allows us to appreciate the full creative power of one of the most important figures of the New York School.
Provenance: Private wine cellar from a Villa in the South of France (preserved in the cellar with regulated hydrometry and temperature)
