A RUSSIAN ENGRAVED SILVER TEA CADDY WITH FLORAL MOTIFS, 19TH CENTURY

A silver tea caddy has been decoratively chased with intricate floral motifs on each of its 4 sides as well as its convex top. The caddy is comprised of 3 pieces, the container, the lid, and a framed cork. The lid is similarly engraved to the container and bears two stamped marks to its interior, the framed cork is stamped with the maker's mark and kokoshnik in 3 places, the caddy itself is stamped with the maker's mark, '84' silver standard kokoshnik, and another kokoshnik like a mark at the bottom and the neck.
