Georges Lepape (1887-1971), a gouache maquette of a poster for the Paris International Exhibition. Inscribed lower left in French "The idea and the hand".
Georges Lepape was a French illustrator who is best known for his work in fashion. During his career, he worked for Harper's Bazaar, Femina, Les Feuillets d'Art and Vogue magazines. He also illustrated for the houses of Worth, Lanvin, Paquin, and Doucet.
