A GLASS SKYPHOS, ATTRIBUTED TO COLOGNE, GERMANY, CA. 100 BC - 100 AD
A small green glass skyphos attributed to Cologne, Germany, the capital of Germania Inferior under Roman rule. The skyphos is of a conical shape, with a small flared base, and two thumbholds projecting horizontally from the rim.
Ancient Roman - CA 100 BC to 100 AD
H: 3 1/4 in., (8.3 cm.) W: 5 1/4 in., (13.3 cm.)
Condition: Good overall, evidence of past breakage and subsequent repair, all pieces appear to be original.
