AN ANCIENT GREEK BLACK-GLAZED KYLIX, CA. 5TH CENTURY BC
An ancient Greek, black-glazed kylix of characteristic shape with a wide bowl sat atop a smaller circular base connected via a short cylindrical stem with flared ends. The bowl is affixed with two loop handles with an upward curve. The inside of the bowl is similarly glazed to the outside, but with a reddish circle at center, creating a striking contrast.

H: 4 3/4 in., (12.1 cm.)
Condition: Good overall with some wear across surface consistent with age. Minor chipping to finish on handles.
