A RUSSIAN PORCELAIN KOVSH BY KORNILOV BROTHERS EITH AN EAGLE
St. Petersburg, Kornilov Brothers, 1884-1917.
Russian porcelain kovsh in the Pan-Slavic style. It features a double-headed Russian Imperial eagle in the center, surrounded by white beads. The upper part of the kovsh features a Russian saying in Cyrillic over a dark background. The rim, spout and handle are decorated with a pattern of intertwining white and gold stripes over a blue background.
Marked on the bottom with with initials "B.K." in Cyrillic, also marked on the handle with a standard Kornilov Brothers Factory mark.
L: 7 5/8 in., (19.5 cm.)
Condition: The kovsh is in good condition overall. A few minor paint losses and scratches. Expected signs of age and wear.
