A CHINESE 18TH CENTURY FAMILLE ROSE LARGE BOWL
A Cantonese porcelain bowl with exquisite enamel ornament in different shades. Inside and outside the bowl is richly decorated with plant and leaf motifs and alternating panels depicting birds and various scenes of court life. In the 18-20 centuries, dishes for export were decorated with enamel in Guangzhou, which in Europe was known as the canton, whence came the name of Chinese porcelain dishes.
