A Large Bronze Tray, Syria, Late 19th-Early 20th Century
Description: Of flat circular form, the central field decorated with a rigorous interlace of leaflets on a hatched ground forming a large Star of David inscribed "Zion" in the middle and “Blessed shall you be in your comings, and blessed shall you be in your goings.” in-between (Deuteronomy 28:6). The outer circle also engraved in Hebrew and the raised rim with a twisted wreath design.
