A Parcel Gilt Silver and Silver Filigree Torah Case, North Africa, Early 20th Century - The elaborate filigree case is applied with various gilt silver elements - The Decalogue, Stars of David with hamsa, birds, Menorahs, harps, hanging lamps and flames. The upper band is repoussed and punched with Hebrew inscription: ”This is the law Moses set before the Israelites.”. The interior is lined with red velvet.
