Fragment of an Etruscan architectural plaque. - Fragment of an Etruscan architectural plaque. Middle of 6th century BC. Height 12,4cm, width 15,4cm, depth 3,8cm. Bright brown terracotta. Mould formed relief. Painting in bright and reddish brown and in black and white. Preserved is the right horse of a quadriga with elaborate bridle. Below the legs of the three other horses, depicted in different colours, above the rest of the white mane of the left horse. Beautiful ancient image of a horse! With certificate of Galerie Günter Puhze, Freiburg, Germany! Broken at all four sides, colour is very well preserved and rubbed off only at few small spots, with nice metal stand.
