Roman transport amphora for wine type Dressel 2-4. - Roman transport amphora for wine type Dressel 2-4. Produced at the western coast of Italy, ca. 65 BC. - 1st century AD. Height 103,5cm and with stand 105,5cm. Bright brown terracotta. On the shoulder an interesting dipinto in cursive Latin, perhaps translating AM [...] Medno. With fancy stand and a letter of the Gallery from 1974! Cleaned and reassembled from large fragments, tiny chippings at the cracks.
