Very rare olpe of the Gnathia Ware. - Very rare olpe of the Gnathia Ware. 4th century BC. Height 19,5cm, ø corpus 8,7cm. Black glazed ware with incised decor, painting in red, yellow and white. On the neck egg-and-dart, oblong tears and ivy-tendrils, on the corpus a garland. Tiny chippings of color and black glaze, otherwise intact. The unusual form combines the corpus of a lekythos with the neck and mouth of an olpe.
