WWI FIGHTER ACE ERWIN BOEHME DESK SET (3)
Large wooden eagle desk set with engraved metal plaque 'Oblt. Erwin Boehme Jasta 2-Boelke'. Desk set has a large eagle landing on a wooden base with two carved boxes on either side. Base is 6.75 x 15.75 inches. Height of piece is 13.5 inches. The desk set include a pair in lot is a matching set of bookends showing a similar eagle landing on a wooden base. Base is 5.25 x 4 inches. Height of bookend is 7 inches. Erwin Boehme (1879-1917) was a German WWI fighter ace credited with 24 aerial victories, who was killed in action during WWI when his plane burned to pieces after being shot down by a British soldier.
