FYODOR TOLBUKHIN MARSHAL OF SOVIET UNION
(1894-1949) Marshal of the Soviet Union, Chief of Staff of the Crimean Front after the German invasion. Occupied Bulgaria, liberated Yugoslavia, Hungary, and took Vienna. Tolbukhin was also People's Hero of Yugoslavia, whose capital Belgrade he liberated. Negative assessment signed by Fyodor Tolbukhin, 7.12.1947, two pages, of the former Head of the Regional Weapons Depot, Colonel of Artillery Technical Service Peter Kryukov. Tolbukhin's asessment reads, 'Does not cooperate. Can be used as the Head of the 3rd department of the Department of Artillery Supplies or as the Head of the Artillery Warehouse of the 2nd Class of weapons.' 11.5 x 7.5 inches. Paperclip mark at top right and trimmed left margin.
