VERY RARE and little-known title on Portuguese economic and diplomatic policy, in particular with regard to its connection to the English crown. The work considers the Luso-British alliance harmful to the interests of the Portuguese, in particular with regard to Brazil's gold mines, industry, commerce, agriculture, Portuguese government, as well as military power. At the end of the volume there is a description of the deaths and damage caused by the 1755 earthquake. In the same year of this edition, which we believe to be the first, a new edition came out with a different title, but with the same plates. Also from the same year there are editions from Seville and Calatayud and, in 1808, again in Madrid, Mexico and the Portuguese translation from Lisbon.
