He settled in Brazil where he took the Franciscan habit in the province of Conceição in Rio de Janeiro. “Of the numerous works by this son of St. Francis, the Historical Demonstration is the most accepted and sought after” (Inoc.). Since the second volume scheduled for this work never came out, Fr. Apolinário on the history of the Church of NS dos Mártires in Lisbon, since its foundation.
