Jewish new year large greeting letter - The New Synagogue in Berlin
"Best wishes for the new year" - Large Shana Tova greetings letter - printed with gilt ink - interior and exterior views of the New Synagogue in Berlin. Germany, early 20th century.
The front features interior and exterior illustrations of the New Synagogue in Berlin, a menorah, and the greeting "Shanah Tovah" in Hebrew and in German: "Die besten Gluckwunsche zum Neuen Jahre" - "Best wishes for the New Year". Inside, the greeter wrote a lengthy blessing for a long year in the form of a poem spanning two pages - blessings for parents, heartfelt wishes, and gratitude to G-d for the New Year.
