Collection of the signatures of the 'Hebrew notrim' in the British Coast Guard - A unit established following the Nazi threat to Eretz Israel. Haifa, 1945

30 signatures of Hebrew Guards who served in the British Coast Guard on the shores of Eretz Israel between 1942-1945. Magnificent cover with the emblem of the beach, and the letter V (VICTORY) - the guards were signed at the end of the war.

On the left is a short date of the important events of World War II between the years 1939-1945, On the right the signatures of the guards. On the back cover is a quote from the patriotic remarks Captain Michael John Fogh who was killed in the war in Italy

The Coast Guard was a unit of Jewish and Arab guards established in 1942 by the British Mandate Police. The purpose of the unit was to warn of a possible invasion by the German or Italian forces into Israel via the coast. The Jewish guards were conducted along two coastal sections, from Rosh Hanikra to Atlit, and from Jisr a-Zarqa to Nabi Rubin (the Nahal Sorek estuary area). In 1944, in view of the unit's poor condition, it was added to the Palmach in the form of two companies, north and south. About a year later, with the passing of the danger invasion, the British disbanded the unit.

18 cm. Very good condition.
