Siegfried Detlev Bendixen (1786 - 1864) Watercolor & Guache on Paper, Signed, Measures ( 17.5 x 13.5 inches ) w/frame ( 19 x 15 inches ) George Donisthorpe Thompson (18 June 1804 - 7 October 1878) was a British anti-slavery orator and activist who toured giving lectures and worked for legislation while serving as a Member of Parliament. He was arguably one of the most important abolitionists and human rights lecturers in the United Kingdom and the United States.
