A Rare German Close-Helmet Of Maximilian Type, 16th century. - Item details Description A Rare German Close-Helmet Of Maximilian Type, 16th century. With well-formed rounded skull forged in one piece, with two short, twisted comb, at the center the typical grooves and outlined. A well-preserved visor, ribbed in the middle. Ventail, provided with eye slots and air holes. Bevor and neckguard worked in one piece with outlined margin and roped border. Button locking-catch on the right for the bevor, and tubular plume-holder incised with spiral lines at the rear, neck-guard of two articulated plates en suite with the skull.
