Rare Polish or Hungarian sword with a richly decorated blade, 17th century. - Item details Description Rare Polish or Hungarian sword with a richly decorated blade, 17th century. Straight blade with one fuller on each side. On both sides the blade is decorated with etched decor depicting a coat of arms, monogram, floral patterns and human figures. The steel guard is typical for Polish and Hungarian sabers of the 17th century. The handle is wooden, wrapped in a spiral with a thin rope and covered with leather.
