A saber with scabbard, Kilij, Pala, golden kofgari, Ottoman Empire, 19th century. - Item details Description A saber with scabbard, Kilij, Pala, golden kofgari, Ottoman Empire, 19th century. Steel curved blade of the classic Pala sword shape. Gold decoration on each side of the blade, religious inscription in Arabic on the right side of the blade. Bronze guard of classical Ottoman form. Brown horn handle with lanyard hole. The wooden scabbard is covered with black leather, massive brass fittings at the top and bottom of the scabbard. In the upper part of the scabbard, silver plates in the shape of a man with a saber are attached to the fittings on both sides. A beautiful Ottoman sword for collecting. Length 83 cm.
