Rare combination weapon, short Hunting Sword with Double Barrel Flintlock Pistol, Italy 17th C. - Item details Description Rare combination weapon, short Hunting Sword with Double Barrel Flintlock Pistol, Italy 17th C. Straight steel blade without fullers. On both sides of the blade there are two barrels with flintlocks. Flintlocks are decorated with high quality engraving and have inscriptions (Pietro Bruni). Oval shaped steel guard. Black horn handle with iron fittings. The handles have two buttons for firing shots. This very rare item was made by Italian gunsmiths in the first half of the 18th century, it demonstrates the skill and technological techniques of the craftsmen of that time. Excellent condition and rare form make it a desirable exhibit not only for collectors but also for the world's best museums. Length 62 cm. Barrel for 10 mm caliber.
