Extremely rare Ottoman knife, dagger with Lapis lazuli handle and Wootz steel blade, 18th century. - Item details Description Extremely rare Ottoman knife, dagger with Lapis lazuli handle and Wootz steel blade, 18th century. A straight blade made of damask steel with one fuller on each side. Silver bolster with exquisite ornament made by niello. The silver scabbard is richly decorated with niello and gilding; the upper part of the scabbard has magnificent floral decoration. The lower part is decorated with inlays of precious stones, probably emeralds. Such items are extremely rarely found on the market and are found in the best museum collections in the world.
