Description
Very rare hunting knife with a carved agate handle in the form of a lion's head, Russian Empire, 1820 - 1830. Steel, straight blade with a small iron guard. The handle is skillfully carved from a single piece of agate in the shape of a lion's head. At the top of the handle there is an insert decorated with rubies and diamonds. The wooden scabbard is covered with leather and decorated with a geometric pattern. There are iron fittings at the top and bottom of the scabbard. A very rare item in excellent condition.
