Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Karl Alfredovich Tanpeter was born on July 24, 1926 in the city of Gorky (now Nizhny Novgorod, Russian Federation). From 1943 to 1948 he studied at the Kharkov State Art College, and from 1948 to 1955 – at the Kharkov State Art Institute in the studio of Professor P. Kotov and his assistant L. Chernova. Since 1956, K.A. Tanpeter is a participant in republican, all-Union and foreign art exhibitions. Personal exhibitions of the artist were held in Kharkov (1957) and in Kirghizia in the city of Tashkumir (1975). Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR from 1965. Since 1976, Tanpeter K.A. taught at the Kharkov State Art Institute. Worked in the field of easel painting. Master of landscape, portrait and still life. The main works: “After the Buran” (1957), “T.
