Works on paper 2019 are signed on the reverse.The intention with the works in these series, 2017/18/19, was to construct paintings that elicit a magical sense of possibility. Through the strategic arrangement and layering of shapes, the paintings invoke a sense of movement and equilibrium. Each composition possesses a convincing essence of feasibility, an enchanting illusion that tricks the eye into believing in the tangible existence of these multi-dimensional formations. ARTIST BIO Theo Overgaauw is a contemporary artist whose works appear in private collections national and international. Born in The Hague, the Netherlands, he studied at the Vrije Academie, the Hague and was invited to attend a week-long workshop given by J?rg Immendorff at the Rijksademie in Amsterdam.Today Theo lives and works in Sellingen, Groningen, the Netherlands.
