The Idler (Two Volumes) An Illustrated Monthly Magazine edited by Jerome K Jerome and Robert Barr published by Chatto and Windus in 1892 and 1893. The Idler was an illustrated monthly magazine that ran from 1892 to 1911 and its contributors included many leading writers and illustrators of the time (Mark Twain, Rudyard Kipling etc). Volume One is a collection of The Idler Magazine published between February and July 1892 and Volume Two is a collection of The Idler Magazine published between August 1892 and January 1893. Both volumes are attractively bound hardbacks in matching dark green cloth hardback with gilt lettering and illustration to the front cover and spine, both volumes approx 15cm x 22cm and show light signs of age / wear, volume one has a small piece of cover missing from the top of the spine (see photographs), otherwise both in good condition nice books, retail for the pair region of £140.
