Framed & matted 1750 hand colored optic view print of New York City, Manhattan Island by Balthasar Lazelt (Leizelt). Includes a description French which translates to "New York City, a city in North America on the Island named Manhattan at the mouth of the Hudson River, which was first settled by the Dutch in 1615 and called New Amsterdam. In 1666 it was taken over by the British and named New York". Some of the lettering is backwards as it was meant to be projected and seen through an optic viewing device. Frame measures approx. 18 1/2" tall x 24 1/2" wide. Please read the terms and conditions. This sale will be broadcast live on sale day with full descriptions of each lot being sold.
