AMBIT OF FRANCESCO HAYEZ (Venice, 1791 - Milan, 1882) Portrait of a widow Oil on canvas, cm. 78,2x61. Framed Lower on the back, two cartouches coeval to the painting with pen inscriptions. The first, on the left, incomplete and only partially decipherable, identifies the lady portrayed: ”MR. SAMBRUZI (?) WIFE OF THE ECC.MO MINISTER IN ROME (?) (...)”. The second, on the right, shows an attributive indication: ”PAINTED BY FRANCESCO HAYEZ”.
