4to (20.5 cm); 2 parts in one volume, in an attractive contemporary dark calf, gilt on boards with golden fillets and large central fleuron; colored edges; gilt spine with compartments, inside in very good condition. Engraved frontispiece at the beginning, each part with own title-page. De Percussionibus: pp. (16), 262, (22) with 6 folding engraved plates; De motionibus: pp. (4), 360, (32) with 14 folding engraved plates.
First collected edition of these two important works: De vi percussionibus and De motionibus naturalibus (first edited separately in 1667 and 1670), with an interesting catalogue of the scientific publications of the printer.
