Signed dance shoes

"Pair of ballet shoes" "pointy ", in fabric and pink satin, with original dedication and autograph written in felt-tip pen by Carla Fracci. Used for the show" "Romeo and Juliet" ". Danseuse Etoile della Scala, considered a of the greatest dancers of the twentieth century, defined "" absolute prima ballerina "" in 1981 by the New York Times. Carla Fracci since 1946 studied at the ballet school of the Teatro alla Scala with Vera Volkova and other choreographers, including Ugo Dell'Ara , graduating in 1954. After two years she became a solo dancer, then prima ballerina in 1958. In the late fifties and seventies she danced with some foreign companies, such as the London Festival Ballet, Sadler's Wells Ballet, now known as Royal Ballet , the Stuttgart Ballet and the Royal Swedish Ballet. From 1967 she was a guest dancer at the American Ballet Theater. Her fame is linked to the interpretations of romantic and dramatic roles, such as Giselle, her "" battle horse"", La Sylphide, Romeo and Juliet, Coppélia, Francesca da Rimini, Medea.
She danced with various dancers, including Rudolf Nureyev, Vladimir Vasiliev, Henning Kronstam, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Marinel Stefanescu, Alexander Godunov, Erik Bruhn, Gheorghe Iancu, Roberto Bolle
