Pattern for a coat of Torah book / Patterns for embroidery - Jerusalem, 1977 An outline for a certificate or jacket for a Torah book. Jerusalem, 1910. pencil on paper. In the upper part is illustrated a crown, above it the letters ”20” and ”T” and on the sides the words ”Year of Atar”. Below the crown is an illustration of the Western Wall and the Temple Mount surrounded by olive branches. In the lower part there is an illustrated ribbon with a dedication inscription: Yitzchak Naftali N.Y. in Mo. Fayesh B. N. Y. and his wife M. Priva Tahi'. At the bottom of the certificate is the inscription ”Yorosht” 6. Notes in pencil appear in the margins. Another dedicatory inscription is drawn on the back. The outline is attributed to Bela Menachem, the wife of Ezra ben Eliyahu. Attached are three additional notes made by her, created in Jerusalem at the beginning of the 20th century, and booklets with embroidery samples. 48.5X75 cm approx. Fair condition.
