Omar Galliani was born in Montecchio Emilia in 1954, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna and began operating in his hometown, where he still lives and works. Omar Galliani was born in 1954 in Montecchio Emilia, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna and is a professor of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brera. In 1979, invited by Luciano Francalanci for the Italy section, he received the Faber Castell Prize at the 1st International Triennial of Drawing at the Kunsthalle in Nuremberg. In 1982 he joined the Primary Magic movement and in 1984 with Anachronism, focused on the return to the Italian figurative tradition for an art over time and at the same time outside it. [1] His works are present at the Venice Biennale in 1982, 1984 and 1986, in the São Paulo Biennials in Brazil and Paris, in contemporary art museums in Japan and at the Bradford Biennial 7th British International Print (1982)
