Francesco Musante (Genoa 1950) is the painter of fairy tales. His works studded with fantastic men, night skies and bright and surreal colors, refer the observer to the dreamy atmosphere of childhood. His tendency to accompany images with phrases, poetic verses, song lyrics, dates back to all the influence of Pop Art of the 70s, a period in which he experimented with color approaching Rauschenberg's abstract art and Combine Paintings. Artist who uses the most varied techniques and supports during his career, from watercolor to engraving, from collage to oil on canvas, board, paper, ceramic. After the experience as an engraver of the first half of the 70s, Musante completely devotes himself to figurative painting. At first her elegant female figures are very close to the style of Gustav Klimt and the Viennese Secession, included within the street of the fairytale painter who made her famous. He dedicates a cycle to the "Spoon River Anthology" and one to "Alice in Wonderland" and illustrates numerous story books and exhibits in Italy (Rome, Milan, Prato, Verona, Bologna, Turin, Florence) and abroad (Berlin, Paris, New York, Saudi Arabia).
