The Holy Rebbe Asher Lemil Horowitz of Shendishov (Sedziszowie) was born to his Holy father Rebbi Tuvia from Shendishov, in 1886.

Even in his youth, he was renowned as a great and knowledgeable scholar in all areas of Torah. In 1902), he published the amazing and brilliant work, "Responsa Maharal, " which was filled with sharpness, expertise, and profound analysis on the Shulchan Aruch.

In 1903 he married the daughter of the Holy Rebbe Naftali from Meilitz. After the First World War, when his father, the holy Rabbi from Shendishov, resettled in Krakow, he tirelessly worked to rebuild the destroyed city of Shendishov. With his holy power, he prevented the city from falling into ruin, and Torah study continued in the Beit Midrash.

In the last years of his life, he was unwell. When his illness worsened, the great and righteous of the generation mobilized for his healing. They prayed for the recovery of this great and holy person so that the sun would not set without him. However, the gates of heaven were closed, and his soul ascended at a young age on the tenth of Sivan 1933.
