Comments on the Chamisha Chumshei Torah by Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum, ab”d of Újhely. Edited and organized by Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum’s grandson, Rabbi Yekusiel Yehuda Teitelbaum- author of Yetev Lev.

First edition, Lemberg, 1849-1861.

There is a separate title page for each section. Part One contains an introduction by his grandson the Holy Yetev Lev.

There are approbations from Rabbi Chaim of Sanz and the Yetev Lev in Parts Four and Five.

Part One, 1849. [1], 117 pages. Good-Very good condition, Light stains.
Part Two 1851. 90 pages. Good condition, stains, page 21 with marginal repair, page 22 with upper marginal repair affecting text.
Part Three,  1851. 42 pages. Good condition, water stains.
Part Four, 1861. [1], 49 pages. Good condition, water stains, repaired inner tears to page 39.
Part 5, 1861. 72, [1] pages. Good condition, water stains, wear to corners, light marginal worming.

Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum, known as the "Yismach Moshe" was the patriarch of the Sighet-Satmar dynasty. He was a leading respondent and holy Kabbalist, known throughout the world for his amulets. He served as the rabbi of Újhely and was the first leader of Chassidus in Hungary. Renowned for his piety, the Chassam Sofer himself requested his blessing and asked that he pray for his sons.
