A MAMLUK ENAMELLED GLASS JUG WITH BIRDS
Egypt or Syria, Ca. 12th century AD. An enamelled glass jug. The vessel's shoulders are embellished with enamelled polychrome medallions, depicting standing birds alternating with coloured geometric motifs. The neck is large, tall and decorated with a protruding band and a red vegetal motif.
