Ca. 1st millennium BC. A greenish stone amulet depicting Thoth, the ibis deity of wisdom and writing, shown with a Maat feather as a sign of justice. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.Size: 23mm x 30mm; Weight: 9.67gProvenance: Private collection London, UK; Ex. Suzanne Tardivat collection, Switzerland, 1980s-2000s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
