EGYPTIAN SILVER RING WITH RED JASPER SCARAB
Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A silver ring with a tubular section round hoop that tapers toward the finials. The hoop is adorned with a coiled silver thread and is connected to an oval bezel framed with a silver thread securing a red jasper scarab made with naturalistic details and inscribed with hieroglyphic symbols. Size: D:21.79mm / US: 12 1/2 / UK: Z; Weight: 14g. Provenance: Private UK collection; From an old British collection formed in the 1990s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
