EGYPTIAN STONE MACE HEAD
Ca. 3600 - 3100 BC. A rare mace head carved from stone, exhibiting smoothly polished surfaces across its apple-shaped form and vertically pierced with a long tubular drilled hole. The rarity of this example stems from the material. For similar see: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Accession Number: 10.176.100.
