HELLENISTIC GREEN CUT GLASS SKYPHOS
Ca. 300 - 200 BC .A Greek green cut glass skyphos with vertical walls that taper towards the rim and a splayed circular foot. The bowl features integral ring handles formed between projecting plates. The upper has a forked terminal, whilst the lower is rounded. This vessel was produced using casting techniques and was then lathe-cut and polished. The skyphos was the most valuable vessel in the Greek and early Roman eras.
