New Kingdom, Ca. 1500 - 1100 BC.An Egyptian bronze ceremonial scimitar with incised geometric decorations on the blade. The item was cast in one piece. The blade is only sharpened on the outside portion of the curved edge. Size: 465mm x 60mm; Weight: 1kgProvenance: Property of a European collector; Ex. Swiss collection, 1970s-1980s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy.
