CHINESE MING DYNASTY TERRACOTTA COURT ATTENDANT
Ming Dynasty, Ca. AD 1368 - 1644.
A Ming dynasty terracotta court attendant. The figure is depicted standing on a hexagonal plinth, wearing a tall narrow hat, a green glazed robe, brown glazed trousers and holding a basin. This funerary figure is a representation of household staff who will take care of the deceased in their afterlife.
