CHINESE TANG DYNASTY HORSE AND FEMALE RIDER
Tang Dynasty, Ca. AD 618 - 908.
A Tang dynasty terracotta statuette of a woman on a horse. She is depicted wearing a long dress, painted with red pigments, with her hair in a high top bun. The horse is shown with great facial details and an opened mouth, standing on a rectangular base.
Size: 350mm x 290mm; Weight: 2kg
Provenance: Property of an American collector, acquired from the US estate collection.
