Original vintage poster for Missiezondag / World Mission Sunday on 22 October 1950, featuring an image on a dark background of a child holding up a hand to the viewer. In 1926 Pope Pius XI of the Catholic Church created World Missionary Day (World Mission Sunday) as a day of prayer for mission work, celebrated annually on the third Sunday of October.
