Original vintage French propaganda poster published by the French Ministry of Public Health and by the French League Against Cancer: Defeat Cancer (Vaincre le cancer). Great colourful artwork by French graphic artist Guy Georget (1911-1992) showing a sword slaying the many-headed and multi-coloured hydra with the image set against a black background. The many-headed hydra of Lerna here represents the ability of cancer cells to proliferate when some of them are extirpated. Printed in France by Aljanvic. Condition: Good condition, minor creasing and small tears in margin.. Country of printing: France, designer: Guy Georget, size (cm): 59x39, year of printing: 1950s.
