The only British Airline to the Continent - Daily services to Paris Basle Zurich Ostend Brussels Cologne & Amsterdam etc. Imperial Airways Ltd Croydon Surrey / Telegrams: Flying, Croydon. Great design featuring a framed black and white photograph of an aerial view of London with an Imperial Airways biplane de Havilland DH.34 aircraft flying over Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames leading to bridges and a hazy horizon, the text above and below in stylised black letters. Croydon Aerodrome (1920-1959) was the main airport in London, replaced by Heathrow after the war. Imperial Airways (1924-1939) was an early British airline company that merged into BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation; now British Airways). Printed in England by H. Kettle, Printer, London.
