18th century Provençal wardrobe
An 18th century French rococo walnut and oak wardrobe, France. It has two doors at the front with a lower drawer with two circular drawer pulls within a concave disc, set on two vase-shaped feet at the front and two square feet at the back with a thin, protruding moulding at the top. The drawer and one of the doors close with a key, without a locking escutcheon.

The upper part has a capital in the shape of a scallop, framed by a straight moulding at the bottom and with marked straight, curved and counter-curved lines at the top. These lines, together with scrolls, are repeated symmetrically but in very pronounced mouldings cutting the door panels into three parts, the central part being the widest. The lower part leaves the drawer between a band with two flowers and an oval at the top and a symmetrical vegetal and floral motif at the bottom, which accompanies the curves of the lower skirt of the cupboard.
